Junior County News
As we look forward to the 2018 season I am honoured to be the Chairlady and Away Team Manager of our Cheshire County Juniors, and to represent the hard work and commitment that our juniors strive for.
The 2017 season saw some great successes for Cheshire County juniors, some great examples  of these  include Cheshire being represented at the BCGBA All England junior Merit final, the success of some great wins both Home and Away at our matches against Yorkshire & Merseyside matches; and great results at the supplementary matches in Wolverhampton. Not forgetting the commitment of our juniors entering other competitions and achieving great success, including one of our Cheshire County juniors in the final of the junior Waterloo and winning the over 16 section of the Waterloo.
I want to thank each & every Cheshire County junior, parents, grandparents, friends and family that support our teams both Home and Away. The successes are purely down to all your hard work,  commitment & enthusiasm.
2018 is promising to be a year of new beginnings for our teams, with the newly formed youth team who will be playing the 18-21 year old Federation matches in May and July. This gives our older juniors the opportunity to play for Cheshire County for a further 3 years.
We will be holding an end of season presentation event & friendly competition on the 2nd September at Owley Wood, to celebrate the successes of our juniors and as our way of expressing our thanks.
We have a fantastic team of committee members and Cheshire County officials working behind the scenes to make sure the 2018 season is exciting and everything runs smoothly.
The 2018 junior trials are being held on Sunday 8th April and 15th April 2018 at Knutsford Crosstown Bowling Club, start time 10.30am, each trials will be held in round robin format to give more opportunity for games, coaching & both will be followed by a buffet and refreshments.
I’m very much looking forward to the 2018 season and beyond, and seeing our juniors continue to go from strength to strength.
